Student Style: Our Creative Director in Quarantine With Her Own Creations
By Megan Mahoney
This article is part of our Student Style series, in which we aim to highlight our student body’s diverse sartorial expression
I just quarantined on Salt Spring in British Columbia and worked with somewhat of a capsule closet, since I had one or so suitcases worth of clothing with me. I mainly had just my go-to items, including lots of comfy clothes made for staying indoors, but most of my staples are things I have actually made myself. Although none of my outfits were particularly out of the ordinary for me, choosing DIY pieces was a fun guide to structure my outfits around and led to a few interesting pairings that I might not have made had my full wardrobe been available to me. Although these outfits were tailored for days in quarantine which involved limited activity, I could see myself wearing similar outfits while on campus (particularly post-shower, wear to dinner vibes), since I, like much of the student body, am usually in lounge wear at this point in the day. Designing and creating content related to fashion is one of the reasons I joined Clover, so I figured capturing five outfits which incorporated something I made was only fitting.
